Eligibility for In-Home Health Care Through EEOICPA/RECA

The eligibility for in-home health care services is based on the eligibility requirements for EEOICPA/RECA benefits. These benefits are available to any employee of the Department of Energy or associated companies involved in the nuclear industry who suffer from specific illnesses caused by radiation exposure.

The illnesses covered by EEOICPA/RECA include radiogenic cancer, chronic beryllium disease, beryllium sensitivity, chronic silicosis and many more. If you worked at a nuclear facility or uranium mine and are sick, please call us immediately.

If you were employed as a nuclear or uranium worker at any of the approved sites and you contracted one of the above illnesses, you should be able to apply for benefits and get your white card. Once you have been approved, you can get free health care for your illness—including in-home health care.
